Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025The DECK's Myakmyak Report vol.2

A lot of students on school trips are here !!

■ A Microcosm of the World! The Commons Pavilion
Among the various pavilions at the Expo, "The Commons Pavilion" is relatively easy to enter without reservations.

This area features exhibits from countries around the world, allowing visitors to feel as if they're on a global journey just by walking through.

One moment, you're hearing African music; the next, you're admiring minimalist Scandinavian architecture. Staff dressed in traditional attire from their respective countries are happy to take photos with you.

■ Coworking "Above" the Grand Roof Ring: A Refreshing Experience

Now, onto the main event: coworking at the Expo venue. We tried working atop the "Grand Roof Ring." Taking the escalator up, the view opens up dramatically.

From this vantage point, you can see the pavilions below, the sea in the distance, and feel the pleasant spring breeze. It's an incredibly luxurious setting for work.

As we opened our laptops and organized materials, we couldn't help but exclaim, "The sky and the world feel so close!"Tethering worked surprisingly well, with no issues on Slack, Google Meet, or Zoom. The grassy areas are spacious, so bringing a picnic sheet transforms it into the ultimate outdoor office.

■Coworking "Below" the Grand Roof Ring: A Serene Workspace

A hidden gem lies beneath the Grand Roof Ring. This area is less crowded compared to above, offering a more tranquil environment. Particularly recommended is the bench area near the East Gate. It's shaded, well-ventilated, and sitting on the wooden benches feels like forest bathing.

The extensive use of wood creates a natural atmosphere.

It's futuristic yet natural—truly embodying the essence of the Expo.
It's a mysterious space where working feels therapeutic.

■Wi-Fi Availability at the Venue

The venue offers free Wi-Fi in designated areas, with decent speed. However, the connection process can be a bit cumbersome. Docomo tethering is also available, but during busy times like weekends, performance may vary.

For more details on Wi-Fi areas, refer to the official Expo site

We will continue to provide useful information for everyone in the next issue!
