Why Choose The DECK

We believe in creating a sustainable, inclusive community that celebrates culture and fosters creativity.

Travelers, entrepreneurs, and remote workers contribute a great deal of creativity to the world. Without them, innovation would be stagnant. The DECK’s mission is to supply those digital nomads and entrepreneurs with the space and tools they need to facilitate their continued success.

Community

From enjoying lunch with the staff and other members or chatting over coffee in the morning, The DECK is a place where everyone is welcome and relationships are formed. Many members of The DECK staff speak English and Japanese providing accessible communication with English-speaking users.

By joining The DECK, you join a family. Staff and The DECK members come together for celebrations, holidays, and cultural events, celebrating one another and the our successes. Most recently, G-ZO, an avid user of The DECK’s fabrication lab hosted a Japanese cultural experience called ‘THE AWAKENING,’ which many of The DECK members attended.

Sustainability

Environmental, social, and economic sustainability are key in creating a healthy and lasting community. The DECK, as a business and as a community, priorities the development of sustainable operations. Being conscious of sustainable issues opens a door to building a business that cares for the environment and its community. Currently, The DECK has a program called WING, centered around supporting female entrepreneurs as they create or expand their businesses. The aim is to decrease the entrepreneurial gender gap through supporting women in their entrepreneurial pursuit. The DECK is in the process of increasing environmental sustainability by implementing a bag share system to reduce plastic use, and a waste separation system to increase recycling.
