A community manager who will be there for you

Hi everyone, and welcome! I’m Kazuna, the community manager. Join us in Shirahama for a unique nomad experience, surrounded by the ocean and stunning nature. I’m also a photographer, so I’ll be capturing plenty of fun moments for us to remember. I can’t wait to meet you and share this special time together!

Born in Kyoto and based in Shiga, Kazuna also spent part of her childhood in Wakayama. An independent photographer and a creative director and community manager. In 2021, she co-founded @ world, a community for travel-loving freelancers. Appointed as a certified Workation Concierge in 2023, she has been organizing workation programs both in Japan and abroad, connecting travelers with local communities.

Hello! I’m Mari. I am a designer and director living a life with travel. While spending time in Wakayama, I hope to share wonderful experiences together, surrounded by nature and the local culture.

As a freelancer, I mainly work as a designer and director. I have traveled for a year both within Japan and abroad as an “address hopper,” including periods of van life. I also continue to take part in workation programs, both in Japan and overseas.

Hi, I'm Morris and I live in Nanki Shirahama, the location of this event. Nanki Shirahama has many attractions that everyone will enjoy, including beautiful beaches, historic hot springs, scenic geospots, and one of the largest seafood markets in western Japan. I’m not good at speaking English well, but I'm looking forward to chatting with you all.

We are the organizers

This retreat program is brought to you by The DECK, a coworking space based in Osaka, and Resort Life Co., Ltd., the hospitality partner providing the beautiful accommodation for this program.

It became possible thanks to the full support of Harumi Miyazaki, CEO of Resort Life, and Hiroaki Kubota, General Manager. Both share a passion for showcasing the warm side of Shirahama in winter—beyond its famous summer beaches—and for creating genuine exchanges between digital nomads and local residents.

From The DECK, Fumi Mukai, the community coordinator, joins the team to connect participants and locals throughout the week, helping everyone feel welcome and part of something special.

Together, we’re excited to offer a truly unique experience where work, culture, and community meet by Shirahama beach.
