Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 The DECK’s Myakmyak Report Vol.7
This is a follow-up blog to Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 The DECK's Myakmyak Report vol.6
We're back with the 7th installment of our Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 report!
This time, we're sharing the highlights from our super popular event — “Explore the Expo with The DECK! Tour Vol.2” (Note: This event has already finished.)
This tour is perfect for anyone who’s curious about the Expo but feels a bit unsure about going alone. With friendly The DECK staff guiding the way, it’s a relaxed, low-pressure way to enjoy the Expo together.
Following the success of our first tour, this second one featured a globally diverse team of DECK members — interns from Sweden, Australia, and the U.S. joined us on this adventure!
The Crowd Is Growing at the Expo!
By mid-June, the Expo site was clearly getting busier.
While our meetup at the usual Yumeshima Station went smoothly, we ended up waiting about 40 minutes at the entrance gate! Even before noon, the sun was really intense — sun umbrellas, sunglasses, and mini fans are absolute must-haves.
Thankfully, our DECK staff had prepared drinks and salt candy tablets ahead of time to keep everyone hydrated and safe in line.
And once we finally entered the venue — that feeling of achievement!
We kicked things off by heading to the Ohgi Roof Ring Walk, this time taking the scenic ocean-side route. With the clear blue sky above us, we stopped for a fun group photo.
Once again — the Expo is huge, beautiful, and just plain fun!
A Global Team Advantage!
Remember the little trick we discovered on the last tour?
“If someone has a passport from the country of a pavilion, the whole group might get priority access…”
Well, this time we had people from Sweden, Australia, and the U.S. — so we gave it a shot!
And guess what? It worked! We were all able to enter the Australia Pavilion together.
When our Aussie team member showed their passport at the entrance, the staff cheered us on with a friendly, “Say Australia!!” and welcomed us in with open arms.
It was a perfect reminder that in moments like these, friends are everything.
What an unforgettable experience — guiding your friends from other countries into your own national pavilion at the world expo!
Cheering on Our Community Coordinator, Fumin!
In the afternoon, we moved to the western side of the Expo site to attend a special event called
"Event Salon Kansai in EXPO 2025", focused on co-creation and collaboration.
Hosted by our friends at Peatix, this event gathered over 30 professionals from the events and community industries to explore the theme of “Events × Community.”
There were insightful talks on event planning, community building, and creating inclusive spaces — it was a real goldmine of ideas!
And of course, our very own Fumin, Community Coordinator at The DECK, took the stage!
Her topic? You guessed it — Coworking × Co-creation.
With her signature energy and honesty, Fumin shared how meaningful it is to be here at the Expo with people she’s met through The DECK.
“Co-creation means many things, but just being here at the Expo with people I met through The DECK — that’s already co-creation.
And guess what? My teammates are here with me today! Everyone~~!!”
She waved to all of us in the crowd, and honestly, it brought a tear to our eyes.
Even the blazing sun couldn’t stop us from feeling inspired by her powerful talk!
Once again, it was a day full of laughter, learning, and new connections.
At The DECK, we’ll continue creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy the Expo in a fun, approachable way.
So if you’re thinking:
“I’m curious about the Expo but don’t want to go alone…”
“I bet it’d be more fun with a group!”
Then don’t miss the next “Explore the Expo with The DECK” tour!
