Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Pablo, a mechanical engineer from Spain, lived a nomadic lifestyle and spent three months working in Japan. He had previously lived in various countries, including Thailand, taking advantage of his flexible schedule.
During his stay in Japan, Pablo worked remotely with clients from different parts of the world, such as Australia, focusing on designing industrial equipment for the oil and gas sector. Currently, Pablo resides in Colombia and dedicates his time to building his own brand and designing home decor, alongside his client commitments.
When selecting a city in Japan, Pablo chose Osaka primarily for its convenient access to other cities, allowing him to explore while maintaining a consistent work routine. By chance, he stumbled upon The DECK on Google Maps, which quickly became his go-to spot.
In Osaka, Pablo established a routine that involved swimming in the morning, working until the afternoon, and spending evenings with friends. Despite the language barrier, Pablo found the locals in Osaka to be friendly. Additionally, he had the support of the team at The DECK whenever he needed assistance communicating or understanding the nuances of the city.
Overall, Osaka provided Pablo with an ideal balance between work and exploration, and he managed to adapt well to his new environment, making it a home away from home.
