πΈ Digital Nomad Week Osaka 2026 Spring πΈ ~The Hideyoshi Legacy: Deep Osaka & Connection~
π― A 10-Day Journey to the "Real Japan" You Won't Find in Guidebooks
Osaka is more than just the "kitchen of Japan." Its vibrant energy and deep-rooted community spirit trace back over 400 years to Hideyoshi Toyotomi - one of most famous Samurai - Japan's first great "Community Manager." Rising from nothing, Hideyoshi didn't use force to unite Japan; he used unmatched communication skills and the art of the Tea Ceremony (the ultimate networking tool of his time) to win hearts and build an empire.
The DECKβs Spring 2026 Program is not a typical sightseeing tour. It is an immersive journey for digital nomads from around the world. Experience the cherry blossoms and tea culture that Hideyoshi loved, and absorb the entrepreneurial energy of Osaka. Connect with locals and fellow nomads, and let the history of this city inspire your next big move.
πΈ Program Highlights
1. Welcome to the "Grand Hanami" (Apr 2, Thu)
Kick off the week under the blooming cherry blossoms at Osaka Castle Park. Inspired by Hideyoshiβs legendary "Daigo Hanami" (the most lavish cherry blossom party in Japanese history), weβll share lunch, drinks, and stories to build our global family.
2. A Sacred Blessing for Nomads (Apr 3, Fri)
Visit Ikasuri Shrine, relocated by Hideyoshi himself to the heart of the merchant district. Dedicated to "ASUHA," the guardian deity of travel and safe footing, this is the perfect place for Digital Nomads, who are international remote workers. Experience an authentic Urasenke Tea Ceremony in this sacred space to cleanse your mind and pray for your future journeys and business success.
3. Time Travel via Retro Tram & Culture Immersion (Apr 9, Thu)
Ride the historic βChin-Chinβ tram, boasting over a century of history, and soak in Osaka's retro townscape. Upon arrival, we will team up with our amazing local host, Genki, for a historical walking tour.
Get ready for an exclusive, up-close visit to a traditional blacksmith's forge to witness the intense art of Japanese knife-making. Afterward, we will visit a local knife museum for a very special session: hearing directly from a French artisan who has dedicated his life to mastering Sakai's traditional knife-making techniques!
Finally, weβll head to Genkiβs traditional Japanese-style cafe, βanywhere cafe.β Experience cooking rice using a classic wood-fired stove (Kamado) to make your own original Onigiri (rice balls). We'll end the night with a live Shamisen performance and a massive networking party with the locals!
