How to get to The DECK from KIX airport

The DECK locates heart of Osaka, called honmachi area. It takes about 1 hour to get to The DECK from KIX (Kansai International Airport) directly. In this blog, we would like to explain how to get to The DECK with some photos. We hope you can get easily with this post.

Some tips are not listed on google map ;)

Tips 1: Wifi router, SIM card, Currency Exchange in KIX

There are multiple choices for some essential services near arrival gate of T1 terminal. Some shops have customer service staff and some offers vending machines.

Moving to the train station from KIX T1 terminal

Go to the 2nd floor from T1 arrival gate and pass through the bridge to Kansai Airport Station

At Kansai Airport Station, there are two ticket offices and boarding gates, one for JR and the other for Nankai Railway, so be careful not to make a mistake. The Nankai Railway which leads you to The DECK shows red sign.

There is also a dedicated ticket counter for foreign visitors at the station, where foreign-language-speaking staff will provide information on how to get to your destination, tickets, etc., and you can purchase tickets from them.

The entrance with the red sign is Nankai Line and the blue sign is JR Line, so be careful not to take the wrong one.

How to get to The DECK from KIX

Approximate time : 60 minutes Fare: JPY 1,210

  1. Kansai Airport Stn. (Nankai Line) >>> Tenga-chaya Stn. (Approx. 40mins)

    Walk 2 mins to change to the Osaka Metro Line

  2. Tenga-chaya Stn. (Osaka Metro) >>> Sakaisuji Honmachi Stn. (10mins)

  3. Take Exit 14 and walk up the stairs to see a big sign of The DECK

Kansai Airport Stn. (Nankai Line) >>> Tenga-chaya Stn. (Approx. 40mins)

  1. From Kansai Airport Station, Take the Nankai Airport Line Airport Express train (bound for Namba) Approx. 40 min.

(2) Get off at Tengachaya Stn. and transfer to Osaka Metro

Get off at Tengachaya Stn., go down the stairs, exit the ticket gate and go straight to Osaka Metro Tengachaya Metro Station. (Yes, it’s the same name)

Go straight from the Nankai Rai Tenga-chaya Station ticket gate exit to Osaka Metro Tenga-chaya Subway Station

Take Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line

It takes about 10 mins to get to the destination (5 stops from Tengachaya stn.)

Get off the train at the Sakaisuji-Honmachi stn.(5th stop from Tengachaya stn.)

Go towards the sign showing Exit 12 - 17.

Take exit number 14 and this stairs to get to the ground floor.

Turn Left at the ground floor and you will find us!
